There will be some great new businesses coming into Carlsbad in 2013. Lowe's, Chipotle, and Five Guys are just some of the establishments slated for the development. This new development is replacing the Olympic Resort Hotel and Spa. The new shopping center will be called Palomar Commons, and is anchored by Lowes Home Improvement.
Where the Olympic Resort Hotel and Spa once sat, a new shopping center is underway called the Palomar Commons.
Lowes Home Improvement will anchor the 180,000-square-foot center.
Eateries including Chipotle, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Jersey Mike's Subs and Panera Bread have announced they will be at the center.
Panera is the only one of those chain restaurants that already exists in Carlsbad.
There will also be a 16-pump gas station and bank on site.
The center is slated to open in July or August of 2013. For more on the Palomar Commons and it's impact on Carlsbad, check out the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce's article.
